Get To Know: ESC
You've got a pretty eclectic taste, how would you best describe an ESC set to someone that hasn't seen you play yet?
I love playing across genres but with UK music and garage at the centre. No set is ever the same, and it changes a lot depending on the place, set time, line-up. It's always bassy, groovy, rolling & hard-hitting, no matter what the genre!
You've had a pretty nuts year so far, with Fabric, Outlook and The Underground under your belt, what's been your favourite set from this summer?
My favourite set from the summer was supporting Mike Skinner at the top of The Shard for Fabric.
Genuinely unreal bucket list moment. Not only am I a HUUGE fan of The Streets, but I've never been up The Shard before that so I felt proper fancy. I started at old school garage classics and sped up throughout - a dream set!
What's in the pipeline DJing and production wise? Any plans for another edition of ESC ROOMS?
I'm honoured to be playing two Warehouse Project sets this winter, where I will hopefully be debuting some new music from myself. For ESC ROOMS, I'm gonna be picking that up again early next year with some of my amazing friends and favourite artists, but for now it's all about locking in with production!
You last played with Harmonia for their BOG last year, what are you most looking forward to as you make your return with them this September?
I am absolutely over the moon to join you guys again. On the day of the BOG last year, I got the train up to Bristol, right after a 6am shift, and made it with half an hour to spare!
Had absolutely no idea how much would change because of that set, so playing at The Crown will be a super full-circle moment. I absolutely adore you guys and the community you've built - gonna be one big massive unapologetically bassy boogie.
