Based in Bath, but a frequent face in Bristol playing for the likes of Flat7, Der Liebe and Apex, how has the city shaped your sound?
Playing those residencies pushed me to trust my instincts and experiment. Bristol thrives on inclusivity and energy, and I've always loved going to all sorts of shows here. I think that's reflected in my sets now - building connection, taking people somewhere unexpected, and making the dancefloor feel like its own little universe.
You've played some of the most acclaimed You parties in the UK, from Glastonbury, UNFOLD, and Love Saves The Day, what's been your personal highlight so far?
Each of those parties has its own magic, but one Glastonbury stands out as a real full circle moment - I'd been going for years before getting the chance to play. The Levels was incredible, and playing UNFOLD has been just as special. The Fold crew always look after you, and since they also run the sound at The Levels, it all ties together nicely.
You've recently played your first all night long set at The Love Inn - if you could play an extended set anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
I'd love to play somewhere like Berlin, where sets are usually longer. I didn't expect to enjoy playing five hours as much as I did, building a full journey from start to finish, but I absolutely loved it and would jump at the chance to do it again. I'd also love to do it in London somewhere I feel completely comfortable, like the Fold Steam room where the community and intimacy make the journey feel even more special.
As someone who's been established in the scene for a while - which up-and-comers do we need to keep our eyes on?
There are so many, but I've been really inspired by artists who are fearless with texture and genre. Dual Monitor are really smashing it with their productions and are playing some amazing shows. Field case are curating shows and are really passionate about what they do, It's exciting to see the next generation of queer and underground selectors making spaces feel alive, safe, and completely unrepeatable.
